Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the 2019 Gixxer 250 in the country. The new Suzuki Gixxer 250 is priced at ₹1.60 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The Gixxer 250 is the naked version of the recently launched Gixxer SF 250. Suzuki had also launched the new 2019 Gixxer 155 in India.
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 sports a similar design as the Gixxer 155. The motorcycle feature an LED headlamp, muscular tank shrouds, engine cowl, split seats and LED tail light. Another prominent highlight of the Gixxer 250 is the dual-port exhaust muffler with chrome treatment. The stubby exhaust gives a distinct look to the Gixxer series.
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 draws power from the same 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 26bhp and 22.6Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine also features Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) which is developed specifically for the Indian market. The oil-cooling works so efficiently that there is no need for liquid-cooling.
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 is equipped with telescopic forks up front and monoshock suspension at the rear. Braking duties are handled by discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard. The Gixxer 250 is offered with two colour options: Metallic Matte Silver/Metallic Matte Black and Metallic Matte Black.
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 rivals the likes of Yamaha FZ25 and the KTM Duke 250. The Gixxer 250 is cheaper by ₹11,000 when compared to the fully-faired Gixxer SF 250.
