Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha is all set to launch a new product in India in December 2019. Now, a report from Rushlane states that Yamaha will launch the new 2020 YZF-R3 BS-VI in India on December 19, 2019. Yamaha has already revealed the new 2020 YZF-R3 for the global markets.
The global-spec 2020 Yamaha YZF-R3 features a host of updates to the design, features and cycle parts. The overall design of the 2020 YZF-R3 is inspired by the MotoGP YZR-M1 and the updated R3 now features sleek twin LED headlamps and an air intake slot between the headlamps. The bike looks sleek, sharp and aggressive in its new avatar.
The 2020 Yamaha YZF-R3 also gets an updated fairing with subtle tweaks for better airflow. The motorcycle also features a new digital instrument cluster which relays a wide range of information to the rider. The global-spec model comes with an updated suspension setup which includes USD forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear.
The 2020 YZF-R3 draws power from a 321cc, inline twin-cylinder, BS-VI compliant engine that produces 41bhp and 29.6Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Expect the BS-VI R3 to carry a slightly increased price tag as compared to the current model. The India-spec model might also lose out on some features such as the USD forks to keep the costs down.
