Italian motorcycle manufacturer Benelli has launched the Imperiale 400 retro-styled motorcycle in the Indian market. The Benelli Imperiale 400 is priced at ₹1.69 lakh ex-showroom (India). The Benelli Imperiale 400 is a classic cruiser and rivals the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Jawa. The Imperiale 400 is inspired by the Benelli MotoBi range which was manufactured in 1950.
The Benelli Imperiale 400 features a classic design with retro-style round headlamp, teardrop fuel tank, twin-pod instrument cluster, split seats, spoke wheels and chrome exhaust. The motorcycle also gets chrome rear-view mirrors which adds to the classic look of the motorcycle. The Imperiale 400 is offered in three colours: Red, Black and Silver.
The Benelli Imperiale 400 draws power from a 373cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 20.71bhp and 29Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Imperiale 400 is equipped with 41mm telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear.
Braking duties are handled by 300mm disc at the front and 240mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle gets 19-inch wheel at the front and 18-inch wheel at the rear. The Benelli Imperiale 400 comes with 3-years/unlimited kilometre warranty.
