Honda revealed the new BS-VI compliant Activa 125 in India in June 2019 and it was slated to be launched this month. Now, Honda has announced that the Activa 125 BS-VI will be launched in the Indian market on September 11, 2019. The Honda Activa 125 will become India’s first BS-VI compliant two-wheeler.
The Honda Activa 125 BS-VI will be equipped with PGM-FI fuel injection technology to comply with the new emission norms. The Honda Activa 125 BS-VI will also be India’s second 125cc scooter to get fuel injection system, after the Hero Maestro Edge 125 FI.
On the design front, the Honda Activa 125 BS-VI looks identical to the BS-IV model except for some minor updates. The BS-VI Activa 125 gets LED headlamp, chrome inserts on side panels, new tail lamp and new colours.
The Honda Activa 125 BS-VI also gets new features such as a 4-in-1 ignition switch, external fuel filler cap, a new digital-analogue instrument cluster, side stand indicator with engine inhibitor and much more.
Honda is yet to reveal the specifications of the BS-VI compliant Activa 125. Expect the Activa 125 BS-VI to draw power from the same 125cc engine with similar power figures as the BS-IV model. Honda has revealed that the BS-VI Activa 125 will be 10 percent more fuel-efficient.
