South Korean automaker Hyundai is all set to reveal the new sub-4-metre Styx SUV in April 2019 at the New York International Auto Show. Now, ICN reports that the Hyundai Styx SUV will be launched in the Indian market in May or June 2019. Hyundai is yet to reveal the name of the SUV, but it is likely to be called Styx.
The Hyundai Styx will be based on an all-new platform and will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and the upcoming Mahindra XUV300. The design of the Hyundai Styx will be inspired by the Carlino concept which was revealed at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The Hyundai Styx will feature the signature cascading grille, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights and much more. Expect the interior of the Styx to be upmarket and premium and will be equipped with a host of features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, rear AC vents, steering-mounted controls and much more.
The report states that the India-spec Hyundai Styx will be offered with two engines: 1-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission options might include manual and AMT gearbox. With the SUV segment growing at a rapid pace, the Styx might be another winner for Hyundai.
