Mahindra XUV300 garners over 13,000 bookings

Mahindra & Mahindra launched the XUV300 sub-compact SUV in the Indian market in February 2019. Now, Mahindra has announced that the XUV300 has received over 13,000 bookings and 2.5 lakh enquiries. The bookings for the Mahindra XUV300 was opened in January and it has been a month since the SUV was launched.

The prices for the Mahindra XUV300 start at ₹7.90 lakh for the base petrol trim and goes all the way up to ₹11.99 lakh for the top-spec diesel variant. The higher variants of the XUV300 account for 75 percent of the total bookings made and with the bookings numbers going up, the waiting period will also increase.

The Mahindra XUV300 is based on the SsangYong Tivoli and the overall design is inspired by the bigger XUV500. The XUV300 is a feature-rich SUV and the top-spec model comes with all the bells and whistles such as projector headlamps, sunroof, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, seven airbags, touchscreen infotainment system and much more.

The Mahindra XUV300 draws power from a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 109bhp and 200Nm of torque while the diesel engine is good for 115bhp and 300Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and the AMT version of the SUV will be launched soon.
