India’s leading automaker Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch an all-new product in the country. The new product is named as S-Presso and Maruti Suzuki has been testing the all-new product on Indian roads for quite some time. We have already reported about the launch details of the S-Presso and it will be launched in India in September 2019.
Now, a post on TeamBHP forum has revealed more details about the soon to be launched Maruti Suzuki S-Presso. The post reveals that the S-Presso will feature an SUV-like design to appeal to the young urban buyers. The S-Presso will sport an SUV inspired bold front fascia and will also get best-in-class ground clearance.
The report also reveals many other details of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso. The interior of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will feature a dynamic centre console and commanding high seating position. The cabin will be spacious and the S-Presso will be equipped with enhanced 10+ safety features to comply with the new safety norms.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is likely to draw power from the existing BS-VI compliant 1-litre, three-cylinder, K10B petrol engine that produces 81bhp and 114Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. There will be no diesel engine on offer as Maruti Suzuki is moving away from the diesel models.
When launched in India, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will rival the likes of Renault Kwid, which also has an SUV-like design. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is expected to be priced between ₹4 lakh to ₹7 lakh ex-showroom. With the launch of the S-Presso, Maruti Suzuki will hope to turn the table around and improve the declining sales figures.
