The Hyundai Creta has been one of the best-selling SUVs in the Indian market and it has been leading its segment for quite some time. But with the advent of new rivals, the Creta is feeling the heat. Now, Hyundai is gearing up to introduce the next-gen Creta in India. CarandBike reports that the next-gen Hyundai Creta will be revealed at the 2020 Auto Expo.
The report also states that the second-gen Hyundai Creta will be launched in India in the first week of March 2020. In the Chinese market, the Creta is called as ix25 and Hyundai has already revealed the next-gen ix25. But the India-spec new Creta will be different, to suit the Indian conditions.
The new-gen Hyundai Creta is expected to feature the new cascading grille, split headlamp setup with sleek LED DRLs, faux skid plates and sporty alloy wheels. The new Creta will also grow in dimension and the cabin space will be better than the current model.
In terms of features, the new Hyundai Creta is expected to get a new larger vertically-mounted 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, sunroof, wireless charger and much more. The new Creta will also get the BlueLink connected technology which offers a host of connected features. The standard safety features will include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors.
The next-gen Hyundai Creta is likely to get the same engine options as the Kia Seltos. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DCT gearbox.
