Tata Harrier is the most awaited SUV of the year and its launch event is just a month away. But even before the launch, many of its specifications and other details have been leaked by the company in a series of teaser videos and images.
As told by us earlier, the new Tata Harrier will be a 5-seater SUV built on Tata’s new OMEGA platform. Under the hood, the new Harrier SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine capable of producing 140 bhp of max power, while the transmission duties will be done either by a 6-speed manual gearbox unit or the Hyundai sourced 6-speed automatic gearbox unit. Price-wise, the new Harrier is expected to be priced between 15-21 lakhs ex-showroom.
But according to the latest update, the Tata Harrier might only get the 6-speed manual gearbox at the time of its launch, and the automatic version might join its lineup later in 2019. This delay, however, might be due to production and supply constraints. Hence, Tata Motors has opted to delay the automatic variant launch, instead of being not able to fulfill the demand.
